E46 Door Lock Actuator

E46 door lock actuator.

When i cannot unlock or open the passenger side door i get in the car close my door start the car and press the central lock button a few times until i hear the driver side door lock unlock. This item bmw e46 01 06 coupe door lock actuator left front. Hope it s informative enough. I then pull the passenger door handle and it now magically unlocks and opens the door.

I can hear and feel the lock actuator on that door doing something however it does not manage to unlock the door. When locking the car with the key fob or the center console button all doors lock just fine. A rod connects the actuator to the latch and another rod connects the latch to the knob that sticks up out of the top of the door. The problem is that i cant open the central locking doors with the key remote control.

The central locking button by the hazard light switch in the car also does not open the central locking either. I will be replacing the passenger side actuator soon. I finally got the think cracked open. In some cars the door lock actuator is positioned below the latch.
