1 lb density expanded polystyrene eps ceiling tiles can be used in certain areas of a building where the sprinkler heads are above the ceiling. The insulation assists in regulating the transmission. Specially made to melt out of a suspended ceiling grid system ica tile is factory mutual approved for installation below an automatic sprinkler system. In addition the tiles are often installed in a drop ceiling framework creating an air buffer between the ceiling tile framework and the true ceiling or roof of the structure. Expanded polystyrene ceiling tiles are used as a decorative and thermal cum acoustic insulation purpose. The tiles may be removed and cleaned with mild soap and water.

This particular application was a tegular or dropped tile which is notched to come down slightly below the grid. Expanded polystyrene ceiling tiles are the optimum solution for not only technically useful benefits but also beautiful custom made designs. Eps ceiling tiles have intrinsic value as insulation tiles due to the materials used in the tile s construction. The eps ceiling tiles which are typically 3 4 or 1 thick fit into standard 2 2 or 2 4 ceiling grid.
